OUR HISTORY

In 1950, Miquel Ramió Serra began his career as a livestock merchant. Years later, he established his first cutting plant in the town of Sant Jordi Desvalls, where his son, Miquel Ramió Costa, joined the business. This marked the beginning of what would eventually become INDUSTRIAS CÁRNICAS MONTRONILL S.A.U.

As operations expanded, the company relocated to Riudellots de la Selva, where a slaughterhouse was added to the cutting plant. This integration and the development of new facilities marked the creation of the fully consolidated company we recognize today.

Over the following decades, Montronill continued to grow in both volume and infrastructure. While maintaining its strong family heritage, the company has always focused on delivering exceptional quality and service to clients across international markets.

Today, we uphold a philosophy of continuous improvement and full vertical integration, aligned with the European “Farm to Fork” strategy.
